Puppies
We carefully plan the puppies
Our main concern is that all aspects, especially health, of both parents are preserved.
Mother of puppies
A mother of puppies is very well taken care of. A female undergoes a proper examination by a veterinarian to determine whether the mating and subsequent pregnancy will endanger her health. Not only during pregnancy a female receives high-quality feed and food supplements to ensure that puppies are healthy, strong and with the best possible foundation for life. At the beginning and towards the end of pregnancy, a female is vaccinated against herpes. It is a virus that usually results in the death of puppies, so it is better not to underestimate anything.

Puppies
From their birth, puppies are always in the family environment. They get used to the daily routine of the household and learn hygienic habits. Puppies are also fed with high-quality feed in the form of granules, later also meat, mush, yoghurt and curd cheese. Puppies gradually get used to being outside from the age of about four weeks where they can run wild. All the time they are getting used to the presence of not only our younger female, but also our children. At this age, the first visitors – new owners – are starting to see us.

A few of our rules
We will want to meet you in person before handing the puppy over to you, which helps to choose a new canine companion just for you. We are looking for warm-hearted owners for our puppies who will accept them as full-fledged members of their families, who will embrace them with care, love and faith. We prefer those who want to pursue some kinds of activities with our puppy, e.g. dog sports, hunting training or other work opportunities. Especially, a dog should be sufficiently occupied, be given attention and not to get bored.
We find it very important for a puppy to have a good life in a new family and not to miss anything. If you decide to take part in various cynological events, exhibitions, tests with him, or if you want to put a puppy into the breeding, we will be happy to introduce you to everything. We are ready to help you, we offer all services to new owners of puppies, i.e. we help with all the things related to your new four-legged companion – care, training, preparation for the exhibition, help with retention, etc. We will be very happy if you visit us sometime and go for a walk together.
Puppy´s price
Keep in mind that the price of a puppy is only a tiny fraction of the expenses you will incur over the dog’s lifetime. Therefore, think very carefully before buying a puppy. If you want to buy a puppy as cheaply as possible, look elsewhere, not here.
Usual price of Weimaraners in the Czech Republic
standard puppy – 35000 – 40000 CZK
non-standard puppy – discount provided, according to the agreement between a breeder and a buyer
A standard puppy is the one that meets all the requirements of the breed standard at a given moment. It can, therefore, be exhibited and it is very likely to be included in breeding as an adult.
A non-standard puppy is the one that does not meet the requirements of the standard, that is, it cannot be exhibited for some reason and, thus, will not be able to be included in breeding as an adult. These are, for example, defects in the bite, a kink in the tail, non-descendence of the testicles or non-standard white markings in size, which exclude the dog from breeding.
The price of a puppy depends mainly on the quality of his parents. It is necessary to realize that the costs of exhibitions, various trainings, examinations and health tests are in the range of tens of thousands, sometimes even more.
A rough outline for your idea. The cost of the exhibition ranges from 1,000 to 8,000 CZK (depending on where the exhibition is held), sometimes even more. Exam costs range from 1000 – 3000 CZK just for an application, e.g. for hunting training, you have to provide your own game, a trainer, or hunting, which will cost you a few hundreds for a lesson. Then genetic tests are also necessary, ranging from 1,000 – 3,000 CZK for a test, X-rays in the range of 3,000 – 5,000 CZK or a heart examination for 2,000 CZK.
Male or female?
There is no big difference in character between a male and a female, both are cuddly and like people. The choice of a puppy is more important, when the breeder already knows which one will be calmer and which one will be more temperamental.
The heat is another thing to be taken into account with a female. It usually takes place twice a year (at this time, the female is not allowed to e.g. trials, exhibitions). It is also necessary to count with the possibility of unwanted covering, and some bitches also suffer from so-called false pregnancy, which is very unpleasant for both parties (both a female and an owner). Dogs do not have such problems and after they have mastered basic obedience, there is no danger of running away after a hot female.
Dogs are more resistant in training than bitches and do not have hormonal changes in behavior. Weimaraner dogs are more dominant, so it is sometimes necessary to watch them to avoid fights with other dogs.
If you are not planning to purchase a female for registered breeding, we require her castration.
